CDC Feathers are excellent for dry flies and emergents. CDC Feathers have unique structure, which will make your flies very lively.
Each package contains different types of feathers, so they are suitable for many kinds of flies. Below is a image containing each feather type.
- Type 1: Rounded tip, size about 2-3 cm, very lively barbs. Suitable for body material (wrapped to hook shank).
- Type 2: Barbs are parallel to stem, fairly square tip. This type feathers are good for wings.
- Type 3: Small, "oiler puff" feathers. Try these for tails or wings.
- Type 4: Rather long feather, barbs are shorter than in type 1. Can be used as a body material in bigger flies.
Each package contains mixed types of feathers described above. Package size is 1 gram (double the usually package size).
