Ahrex NS172 - Curved Gammarus is a curved hook specifically designed for Gammarus Patterns. It's part of the Ahrex's Nordic Salt hook series which was initially aimed at the Scandinavian saltwater scene, with the sea trout (sea run brown) as the main target. As soon as the NS hooks hit the market they were welcomed by fly tiers and fly fishermen all around the globe, though – and are used for bass, panfish, freshwater trout and lots of other species.

The lightweight wire allows the flies tied on this hook to be fished in shallow waters. If you want to add weight, it is easily done without ruining the hooking capabilities, due to a large hook gape.

• Designed for gammarus patterns, try for long wing streamers as well
• Use for tube flies too
• Black Nickel Finish
• Chemically sharpened with small barb
• 18 hooks per package
