Whiting Hen Saddle contains soft and supple feathers. These are suitable for tying wet flies. The shape of the feathers is slightly conic and with sharper tip compared to many other hen saddles. This means that you will find shorter barbs from the tip of the feather and vice versa, longer fibers for larger flies from the base of the feather. Good applications are Spider and Soft Hackle flies, other wet flies and insect imitations. Also suitable for smaller salmon flies.
