Bucktail hair is quite stiff material and has slightly curly structure. These are Veniard's half tails. Available in many colours. Tail is cut in two pieces and the package contains one half piece, either top or bottom piece randomly selected. Bucktail is a legendary hair material for many classic streamers, salmon flies, pike flies, saltwater flies and other wet flies. Makes a well supporting underwing when using softer material on top, for example fox hair or similar. On many popular bucktail patterns, such as Mickey Finn, the whole wing is solely tied of bucktail hair. Standard material for Hollow Deceiver and other pike flies as well.

Veniard's Half Bucktail features:

• One half piece of bucktail, either top or bottom piece is selected randomly in the package
• Quite stiff and slightly curly structure
• Use as a wing and/or tail material
• Traditional material for streamers, pike flies, wet flies, salmon flies, saltwater flies etc.
• Length of the half tail is approximately 10 - 15 cm
• Width of the half tail is approximately 7 - 10 cm
• Hair length 5 - 9 cm
• Please note that the structure of the hair varies in each individual bucktail. Dyed tails may have lighter color at the base of the hair and darker tip.
