Semperfli Spyder Thread has two fine strands of thread twisted together. Spyder, a traditional tying thread, was specially developed to be semi translucent so that the threads help adopt the shade of the fly pattern. It has a breaking strain of approximately 0,4 kg. The strength of Spyder will give the fly tyer confidence when tying small flies that their thread will hold better. With two strands Spyder will also lay reasonably flat when tying flies.
Semperfli Spyder is aimed for fly tyers wanting to tie small flies. In developing Spyder the team wanted a micro thread which had some strength, laid flat.
- Thickness 18/0, 30D
- Semi translucent color helps adopt shade of dubbing or body around the thread
- Two core twisted threads to lay flat
- Ideal for smaller flies
- Breaking strain approximately 0,4 kg
- Two cores means 50/50 split to create easy dubbing loops
