Slotted Tungsten Beads are made of wolfram. Slotted structure makes these bead heads easier to put in place if the hook gape is narrow. These are also the best fitting option for jig style nymph hooks. Insert the bead head narrow hole towards the hook eye. Slotted hole will point backwards when placed accurately behind the hook eye.

Tungsten is a non-toxic alternative for lead. Its density is higher compared to lead or brass and therefore heavier material. This helps tying faster sinking flies with smaller bead head sizes.
