Mottled Craft Fur is synthetic hair material for fly tying. Fibers are quite soft and they have natural movement in the water. As the material is synthetic, the fibers will not absorb as much water as some natural equivalents. This keeps flies easy to cast. Base section of the fibers has underfur which can be combed out to create the desired shape for the wing.

Use for streamers, seatrout flies, tube flies & salmon flies and pike flies. For pike flies the skin can be cut to narrow strips and tied around the hook shank to create front bodies & heads. It is recommend to apply a drop of super glue on the hook shank before tying the strip for more durable finish.

Mottled Craft Fur Features:

• Mottled colors has been made up of 2 colours, essentially a basic colour to which the tips of the upper coat are then differently coloured. The undercoat, on the other hand, is always homogeneously coloured.
• Synthetic hair material.
• Use for tails and wings.
• Can be also cut to zonker pieces - tie around the hook shank to create bodies/heads, apply a small drop of super glue on the hook shank before tying to make it more durable.
• Hair length approximately 6 - 8 cm.
