The rods come with a rod tube and a rod sock. Unlike the product images, the rod tube is either traditional Cordura-covered or aluminum (depending on the production batch).

• Diesel 490-4: This rod has a responsive and reactive tip for tippet protection but enough backbone to carry your flies to the fish. Excellent for hopper-dropper as well as nymphing rigs on your favorite trout water.
• Diesel 4100-4: This rod is very much like the Diesel 3100-4 fly rod, but with added little extra power. Suitable for modern nymphing and also for casting indicator rigs.
• Diesel 590-4: The 9ft 5wt is your all round trout solution, the one best answer for fishing for trout anywhere. In one day of trout fishing an angler can use multiple techniques. A day can start with fishing dries during the morning hatch, an indicator nymph rig during the heat of the day, a hopper dropper rig as it cools off, and finally streamers for big browns at dusk. You could certainly carry a dry fly outfit, a nymph outfit, and streamer outfit or you can take one “All Purpose Trout” outfit designed to excel in all of these situations.
• Diesel 597-4: Slightly longer all-around rod for trout fishing. Longer rod is ideal for underhand casting and easy mending. Powerful mid section allows for long and accurate casts.
• Diesel 690-4: Any trout earned with a fly rod is worth noting. However, if you hunger for the largest trout in your waters, you’ll need to adjust your approach. You see, when a trout gets big enough, it changes its diet plan. The largest trout often eat meat in the form of smaller fish and crayfish.
