Mikado Cheburashka is a lure weight system which consists of a detachable snap and a round lead. To mount a lure, just put a hook or treble eye on the snap and push it through the opening in the lead - with two round ends sticking out on both sides. Then close the snap, attatch your line or leader to one eye and you’re set. A Cheburashka mounted lure moves freely from the hook - unlike in standard jig heads, which are permanently jointed with the lead, thus stiffening the action of soft lures. With Cheburashka jig head the lure will move irregularly and very naturally, thus triggering more bites. Works great with standard hooks, offsets and trebles.

In accordance with the new European Union regulation, placing lead-containing fishing weights and lures on the market will be prohibited following transition periods. The prohibition does not apply to the use of products already owned by the customer, but only to their sale. The regulation enters into force 20 days after its publication in the Official Journal. The transition periods for fishing products are:

• Lead wire and split shot / detachable weights: 6 months

• Lures and weights weighing less than 50 grams: 3 years

• Lures and weights weighing over 50 grams and up to 1 kilogram: 6 years
