Whiting Freshwater Streamer Hen Cape is a versatile hen neck. Compared to rooster capes, hen capes do have shorter feathers and softer barbs. Hen necks are suitable for tying wet flies.

In the middle of the cape there are suitable feathers for sculpin imitations' wings. Those can be also used for tying hackles for small and small-medium sized salmon & seatrout and other wet flies, whether you tie on hook or tube. On the both sides of the cape you can find very soft barbed feathers that are sutiable for tying classic spider / soft hackle flies. For smaller soft hackle flies, use the tip of the feather for shorter barb length.
