Grundens has size rating that allows you to choose same size wading shoes as you have for your everyday use, when not using thick sock. If you use thick sock (wool socks, thick hiking/wading socks, double socks, etc. which are normally used in cold water), it is recommended to choose shoe size one bigger than your normal shoe size.
Example 1: If you do not use thick socks, and your normal shoe size is 43, then choose size 43 wading shoe.
Example 2: If you use thick socks, and your normal shoe size is 41, then choose size 42 wading shoe (ie. one size bigger than normal shoe size).
Not sure what is the right shoe size for you? The following instructions will help you choose:
- Take a piece of paper and a pen or pencil
- Stand with your heels against the wall
- Stand upright, placing your weight on both feet
- Get someone else to draw a line be the tip of your toe
- Measure the length from the wall to the line
- Add 3-5 mm to the measured length (important for toe space)
- Compare the foot length with size chart
