TMC 112TR is a heavier version of TMC 112Y. This hook is otherwise almost identical, but has thicker 1X fine wire - the same wire as the Tiemco's most popular dry fly hook TMC 100 has. Thicker wire makes this hook ideal also for a bit larger trouts. The sizes #7 and #9 are good for big insects (terrestrials) and beetles. Short shank and wide gape are ideal also for dense hackled flies.
