Hanak NEW ROUND+ Tungsten Beads are standard tungsten beads with a slotted back. The slot makes it easier to slide the bead onto hooks with a narrow gape. Slotted beads are also the best-fitting option for jig-style nymph hooks. The bead is threaded onto the hook smaller hole first, leaving the slotted portion facing the rear of the fly.

Unlike lead, tungsten is non-toxic and is a more eco-friendly option for weighting flies. It is also significantly heavier than brass and lead, making it easier to tie flies that sink quickly and deeply. Thanks to its higher density, you can also use a smaller bead size than when using brass beads, allowing you to tie slimmer flies.
