Frödinflies Micro Series - The small fly needs to be simpler. It needs to be tied carefully to swim and fish effectively despite its tiny size. With a good taper and soft hair even the small fly will look extremely lively. The micro-tube outfishes the hooked fly any time. Lighter and livelier with the chance to change hook size and colour it’s just the best design. Summer fishing, floating line, a micro and there is not any a better way to catch salmon. They are fished with a loose hook of your choice with just a small fixing tube. We suggest the FITS small tubing.

Black Green Helmet
A true old favourite. BGH has been in the Frödin's boxes more than 25 years now and given many memorable salmon. Black and chartreuse colours are as classic for clear waters as orange and brown for slightly coloured. Everyone loves that greenish water, Litza, Gaula, Aa, Laerdal and in many, many other rivers black and green flies out fish the most. Even in this small version it’s a great standard fly to fish maybe specially on that cloudy summer day.
Dee Sheep
The Aberdeenshire Dee is favourite Scottish river and this little fly has proven to be the best Dee springer fly in Mikael's box. Frödin put the yellow under the black - made it swim with soft materials and suddenly the old Icelandic Black Sheep turned into an even better fly. A super standard for cloudy days. This is one of the patterns that Frödinflies staff seldom fish in bigger sizes, it’s quite the opposite, the smaller it is the more fish they catch on them.
G.P Special
This little “shrimp fly” can be extremely effective. We write “shrimp fly” because we have no believes in that salmon take it for being a boiled shrimp. The flat broad profile and strong colour is what we think triggers. Fish it fast on a good downstream belly, even though we have taken some great fish dangling it in cold water.
Greenlander
Cross breed between Green Highlander and Silver Grey. Maybe it saw the light because Frödinflies' members couldn’t decide which one of the classics to fish – they just love those classics. This is absolute favourite fly for sunny weather in clear to greenish rivers. Fish these really small for the trickiest salmon.
Nanook
This little special fly got its name from the white powerful hunter in the north. Nanook is a clear water fly. Frödin very often vary his sunshine flies from light blue to light green. In this pattern, they mixed the colours and got a nice sunshine fly that works well in both the greenish and bluish river. This fly has been in Frödin's and his friends' boxes since the late 80’s.
Pahtakorva
Here it is again, Frödin's most well-known pattern. A fly that has taken tens of thousands of salmon. He fishes it gladly and often, big or small. It’s a great standard fly which works everywhere, maybe it’s best in tea coloured rivers, or on that low August river. Sometimes Frödinflies vary the hackle and put the orange grizzly to the front and sometimes they use that orange metallic coloured cone, nevertheless in any shape it ́s just a fantastic little fly.
Sillen
The lighter and more sparse it is the better it fishes. This is a favourite sunshine fly. When the river is turning blue it’s unbeatable, but it’s also great in crystal clear rivers. To dangle it in the top of a pool in that white water on a low oxygen river day can produce some great sport. Remember to keep them small, the fish can see everything.
Willie Gunn
The British standard classic with its fantastic colour combination - here in a small, low water, soft, deadly version. A favourite in slightly to medium coloured water. It also does well a cloudy day in the clear river. A must in the box on any river and almost any day of the season. It’s remarkable how this combination harmonizes with a tint of humus and how the fish just love them.
Zebra
One of Frödin's new favourites, even in this simple version it’s an extra magic pattern. The small black fly, a standard on most rivers. The white/ black/white wing also gives this little fly extra contrast. We're sure that even in the small size contrast has contributed to giving the fly its reputation to out fish many other creation
